The Giants’ connections to the Patriots and Titans may be getting even stronger.
Corner Jason McCourty, 33, is visiting the Giants to explore a possible deal, a source told the Daily News Friday afternoon.
McCourty played his college ball at Rutgers, started his career with the Titans and won a Super Bowl with New England in 2018 when Joe Judge was the Pats’ special teams coordinator.
He played the last three seasons for the Patriots, including 65% of the defensive snaps for Bill Belichick last season in 2020.
McCourty’s visit was first reported by NFL Network.

McCourty and Giants safety Logan Ryan did not overlap at Rutgers, Tennessee or New England, but they share connections to all three programs. And Ryan played four Patriots seasons (2013-16) with McCourty’s twin brother, safety Devin, another Rutgers product who is still with Belichick and the Pats.
McCourty can play special teams and would come in on top of this spring’s free agent signing of Titans corner Adoree Jackson and the re-signing of DT Austin Johnson, another former Titan. They join special teams captain Nate Ebner, a former Patriot, as well.
Judge arrived in New York in Jan. 2020 with a Patriots pedigree and signed Ryan late last offseason to help his first year defense. McCourty would be another veteran addition to help the Giants create depth on the back end.
