After today’s breaking news that CM Punk and Colt Cabana were found not culpable of any of the charges against them in the defamation lawsuit filed by WWE doctor Chris Amann, Punk spoke with Fightful.com on the big courtroom victory.

On immediate reaction to winning the case:

“I’m happy, I’m relieved. I’m happy for Colt Cabana, my friend, first and foremost. I’m happy for me second. I’ll always protect my friends and family,” Punk said. “This has been pretty frivolous. I’m shocked it made it this far. I was always confident, because all I had to do is tell the truth. I’m grateful for the jury coming to the correct verdict. Being in court is nerve racking.”

On his mindset heading into UFC 225 now that the trial is over:

“I feel good, I look good, I’m not trying to cut a promo or anything. I think in a weird way, this trial made me ultra focused on what I have to do Saturday,” Punk closed.
