Sunday night’s Impact Redemption PPV main event underwent a big change when Alberto El Patron was released from Impact after he no-showed the Impact Wrestling vs Lucha Underground event over WrestleMania weekend.

According to PWInsider.con, original plans for the Impact Redemption main event called for El Patron to defeat Austin Aries for the Impact World Title, but after El Patron was fired and Pentagon and Fenix were added to the PPV main event, the decision was made for Pentagon to become the new Champion.

Pentagon commented on his big Title win with the following Tweet:

Muchas gracias. @IMPACTWRESTLING puro zero miedo magic night! pic.twitter.com/v4D7YKvVcn
