Munster fly-half Ben Healy could leave the Irish province at the end of the season, head coach Graham Rowntree has admitted.
Healy has drawn interest from Scottish United Rugby Championship (URC) teams, and Rowntree has admitted that Munster will struggle to retain his services.
Munster career so far
23-year-old Healy drew interest from Glasgow Warriors in previous seasons as he qualifies for Scotland through his mother.
Scotland head coach Gregor Townsend has reportedly kept an eye on Healy throughout his development at Munster and is keen for him to sign for a club across the Irish Sea.
In the previous seasons, Healy racked up 17 and 20 appearances, respectively, with 10 starts last term. He won the Munster academy player of the year award during the 2020/21 season.

However, this season he has slipped down the pecking order under Rowntree, making just six of the 13 matchday squads with Joey Carbery and Jack Crowley ahead of him.
Uncertain future
Rowntree has admitted that it remains unclear whether Healy will be at Munster next season.
“He’s been vital for us for the last couple of years,” said Rowntree.
“Good to have around, tremendous attitude. His future is uncertain; I’m not going to lie.
“And yes, he has had interest from over the water last year and the year before, so we will see how that pans out.”
Edinburgh enter the race
While Glasgow Warriors were the side that first chased Healy’s signature, an Irish Independent report states that Edinburgh are the front runners now to land his services.
With his contract coming to an end this season, both Scottish sides are hoping to secure his services.
A move to Scotland could boost his chances of making Townsend’s Rugby World Cup squad.
