Speaking in an interview with L’Équipe, Marseille President Jacques-Henri Eyraud discussed the future of French winger Florian Thauvin, whose contract expires in June.
“This will be an important year in terms of regenerating the squad. This (Thauvin’s extension) will be one of our priorities, it is at the heart of the sporting project constructed by Pablo (Longoria, Head of Football). I want Florian to continue with us as the key man of this team. He maybe has personal, financial aspirations. Everyone will understand that the current time imposes extreme rigour on us.”
