Speaking to RMC Sport, PSG captain for the evening and French central defender Presnel Kimpembe discussed his side’s surprising 2-1 home defeat against Manchester United.
“There is no explanation. We were simply not good tonight, we were not in the duels and we were slow and late in running back defensively, you pay for that at this level. We can only look at ourselves.”
On Manchester United’s tactical shape:
We were not surprised. We were not good. Whoever the team is against you, we did not start or finish the match well, it is a shame to lose points at home. We will have to lift our heads up in the coming clashes.
On a perceived lack of desire in the duels:
Yes of course, we were not present and were late in the duels. We will need to lift our heads up and continue with the same aims in our heads.
