Ligue 1 side Montpellier have announced the signing of 26-year-old Swiss international goalkeeper Jonas Omlin from FC Basel for an undisclosed fee reported to be around the €5m mark.

Omlin has played in the Swiss 1st division over 100 times and has 17 European cup matches worth of experience.
Omlin comes in to replace Geronimo Rulli, who left Montpellier this summer after they could not afford to activate the option to buy him from Real Sociedad.
