L’Équipe report this morning that Ligue 1 champions PSG are continuing to progress in their efforts to sign 29-year-old midfielder Idrissa Gueye from Everton.

The newspaper claims that Pini Zahavi, the Israeli super-agent, is responsible for the advancement of talks in recent hours. An initial bid worth €25m was knocked back by The Toffees, and EFC’s demands have not changed: somewhere between €30m and €35m.

Talks have reportedly intensified in recent hours and the clubs’ negotiating positions are no longer so far away. Gueye for his part is determined to join the capital club, with some officials at PSG even believing that a deal could official as soon as Sunday.
