Speaking in an interview with SFR Sport, PSG manager Unai Emery discussed Neymar’s first season with the capital club.
“I have done 50% of the work with Neymar, but there is another 50% to go. First of all, he needs to feel happy here. He needs to adapt to Paris, the change in city, the new team, to his new team-mates even if there are Brazilians here… All that, is a process that began this year, but he is still not 100% bedded in in Paris… We showed him kindness, we integrated him into Ligue 1, into life in France, the team, but he also needed his team-mates to adapt to him. It is not easy. When I had to explain to Neymar the defensive work that he had not done before, he needed to adjust, that is tactical work.”
