Out of the 21 girls rescued from a shelter home for girls in Muzaffarpur in May this year, 16 were raped, confirmed the medical examination. Among those subjected to rape, one was just seven years old.
The medical examination of the girls was conducted at Patna Medical College and Hospital. The medical report has been sent to Muzaffarpur Police.

“We have received medical reports from Patna today of 21 girls out of which it has been said that 16 of them had sexual contact. We are waiting for the report of 8 more girls. We are going to file chargesheet against the accused who have been arrested till now,” said Harpreet Kaur, SSP Muzaffarpur, according to a report by Indiatoday.in.
