Hulk Hogan will soon appear on the Fox News show OBJECTified where he talks about his falling out with the WWE. Here are some highlights:
When the WWE Fired Him:
“When I heard this was going to happen, I called them on a Thursday or a Friday. As I hung up the phone that night, they fired me in the morning,” Hogan said. “It really caught me off guard, I didn’t expect it because the WWE knows who I am. I’m not that person, that’s not who I am and that’s not what I do.”
What he thinks about how the WWE removed him from the website, video games, and toys, along with discounting his merchandise to unload what was left:
“I think they did what was best for business,” he said. “They were worried about losing sponsors and network support.”
Hogan was fired in 2015 after a tape leaked of him using vulgar racial language in a leaked sex tape his former friend, Radio shock jock Bubba the Love Sponge had secretly taped a few years before. At the time Hogan was serving as a judge from the last season of Tough Enough. He immediately apologized for what was said, however, the WWE has yet to hire him back.
The episode airs on Fox News Sunday night. Here is a preview:
