— On Tuesday’s Wrestling Observer Radio, it was noted that the announce team for AEW’s shows are Jim Ross, Alex “Goldenboy” Mendez and Excalibur – the team that they used for Fyter Fest. Tony Schiavone will not be commentating for the PPVs but will be at most of the TV shows.
— Schiavone has “a lot of things” going on including MLW, University of Georgia football and the AAA team of the Atlanta Braves. He will do some backstage segments on the TV shows and could be doing some play-by-play in the future but isn’t expected to be a regular on this team. Alex Marvez, meanwhile, will be at the PPVs and involved in backstage packages and things of that nature.
