– Xavier Woods made a surprise appearance before the tapings to announce a special League of Legends video game competition that will air on the TakeOver: WarGames episode of UpUpDownDown.

The teams are a video game pro, Seth Rollins, Cesaro, Ruby Riott, and Tyler Breeze as Team WWE against a video game pro, Johnny Gargano, Adam Cole, Shayna Baszler, and Dakota Kai. Full Sail went wild for this one and seeing the main roster stars.

NXT TV taping spoilers —

– The Undisputed Era made their way to the ring to talk about how they defeated War Raiders and would take out anyone in their way. EC3 interrupted and told Adam Cole that Cole doesn’t deserve another North American title match and he would prove it to him right now.

– EC3 defeated Adam Cole
There were major distractions towards the finish, but EC3 was still able to score a roll-up victory. EC3 wasn’t able to escape the Undisputed Era, who beat him down four-on-one all the way to the back and on the stage. They left EC3 totally destroyed.

– Mia Yim defeated Aliyah
Yim was the crowd favorite and hit Seoul Food for the win.

– Kassius Ohno defeated Justin Xavier
Ohno destroyed him with repeated sentons and a ripcord elbow. Nikki Cross was on the stage laughing after the match.

– William Regal was about to announce who was going to face NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa for the title at TakeOver: WarGames before being interrupted by Ciampa, Velveteen Dream, Lars Sullivan, and finally Nikki Cross.

Cross declared “he’s here!” Aleister Black charged the ring, hit a Black Mass kick on Sullivan, then held up Regal in the corner and asked “where is he?”
Johnny Gargano attacked Black from behind and left him laying.

– The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) defeated The Mighty (Shane Thorne & Nick Miller)
They had a back-and-forth match that finished hot. The Mighty hit a powerbomb-assisted superplex, then a wild sequence saw Ford hit a splash for the victory and reclaim their gold chain and party cup.

– Nikki Cross defeated Mercedes Martinez
Physical match with Cross getting cut somewhere along the way. A swinging neckbreaker got Cross the win. Candice LeRae ran down to try and get answers from Cross before Aleister Black stormed to the ring and stared LeRae in the eyes before leaving.

– Matt Riddle defeated Luke Menzies
There was a huge reaction for the NXT TV debut of Riddle. He hit a knee strike, elbows, and locked in the Bromission for the victory.

– Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch defeated Humberto Carrillo & Raul Mendoza
Fast-paced and hard-hitting match. These two teams can go. A double-team DDT got Lorcan & Burch the victory.

– On the video screen, they showed Undisputed Era cutting one of their backstage promos before War Raiders destroyed the set and roughed them up. They brawled all through the back lot and Ricochet joined the fight. The brawl made its way to ringside, where Undisputed Era held a four-on-three advantage until Pete Dunne cleared house with a chair.

Regal then announced that these teams of four would face off in a WarGames match at TakeOver.

– Heavy Machinery (Otis Dozovic & Tucker Knight) defeated The Forgotten Sons (Wesley Blake & Steve Cutler) w/ Jaxson Ryker
Dozovic overcame the numbers advantage that The Forgotten Sons had and hit a pop-up strongest slam for the win.

– Dakota Kai defeated Taynara Conti
Kai’s sunset flip backcracker got her the win.

– Bianca Belair defeated Mia Yim
Belair took everything Yim had and survived with enough left to hit her torture rack forward slam.

– Lacey Evans defeated Karissa Rivera
The Woman’s Right punch won it for Evans.

– Kyle O’Reilly defeated Hanson
This was for the right to have the advantage in WarGames. There were distractions late from both teams. O’Reilly struck Hanson in the back of the head with a title belt to score the pin. Dunne was favoring his bad foot and needed help to the back.

– Lars Sullivan defeated Velveteen Dream
Ciampa caused the distraction and allowed Sullivan to score the pin. Dream and Ciampa brawled after the match. It resulted in Dream holding the NXT Championship up and listening to its secrets to end the taping.

In a segment filmed for Xavier Woods’ Up Up Down Down channel: There will be a Team NXT vs. Team WWE confrontation in the game League of Legends.
The teams are: Team NXT: Adam Cole, Dakota Kai, Shayna Baszler, Johnny Gargano and a video game pro vs. Cesaro, Ruby Riott, Seth Rollins, Tyler Breeze and a video game pro.
The two teams cut promos on each other to hype the event.

Week 1

– A clip is played of William Regal alerting security to make sure Aleister Black sees him before anyone else in the building

– Undisputed Era (all 4 members) walk to the ring. Adam Cole talks about how people need to fear NXT. He says the Undisputed Era is NXT. Cole talks about how Ricochet beat Pete Dunne, not him. EC3 comes out and says Cole doesnt deserve a title shot. They argue and Cole challenges EC3 to a match
– EC3 def. Adam Cole
Post match: Undisputed Era attacks EC3 and Bobby Fish smashes EC3’s leg with a chair
– Mia Yim def. Aliyah
– Kassius Ohno def. Justin Xavier
Post match: Nikki Cross walks out to the stage, pointing and laughing at Ohno
– William Regal comes out to announce the NXT title match for Takeover. Tomasso Ciampa comes to the ring. Ciampa tells Regal to wipe the smug look of his face and make the announcement. Velveteen Dream comes out and says the people at Takeover need an experience. Lars Sullivan tells Dream to move out his territory. Dream tells Lars to put some pants on, which Lars responds to by choking Dream. Nikki Cross runs out, pointing and saying “he’s here”. Aleister Black runs out, confronts Regal and lays Lars Sullivan out with Black Mass. Johnny Gargano runs out and superkicks Black. Johnny Gargano is the mystery attacker of Aleister Black.

Week 2

– Street Profits def. The Mighty

– Nikki Cross def. Mercedes Martinez
Post match: Candice LeRae comes to the ring asking for answers from Nikki. Nikki leaves, while laughing at Candice. Aleister Black confronts Nikki on the stage. Nikki Cross backs off as Aleister walks to the ring to confront Candice LeRae. Black asked where her husband is. Black says something else and then leaves.

– Matt Riddle def. Luke Menzies

– Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch def. Raul Mendoza and Humberto Carillo

– Undisputed Era is cutting a promo backstage about being at full strength when they’re attacked by the War Raiders. They brawl all through the backstage, with Ricochet joining in. The fight makes it’s way to the ring with Undisputed Era gaining the advantage. Pete Dunne comes out with a chair to clear the ring. William Regal makes a match between them all inside of War Games

Week 3 and Week 4 (?)

Post match: Tomasso Ciampa attacks Velveteen Dream, but Dream is eventually able to get the upper hand and hit the Purple Rainmaker and pose with the NXT Championship
