Charlotte Flair has reacted to Ronda Rousey’s recent anti-WWE tirade on social media. The Baddest Woman on the Planet claims in a video that her heel turn on the March 4 Monday Night Raw was not scripted, but real.

Rousey is supposedly sick of trying to make the fans happy and protecting the business, so she’s decided to cut loose on everyone. But Flair has fired back.

This turn of events, though unexpected, is also completely logical at the same time. WWE has been pushing the narrative of “phony” versus “real” quite a bit lately and this is perhaps the best example of that. Ronda was a fighter in a legitimate sport before coming to WWE of course, so she naturally brought that credibility with her.

But from the moment she arrived in Vince McMahon’s company, Rousey has been on the defense. Her ring skills have been called into question and the same is true of her skills on the mic. But no matter how much hate she’s received and how much hate she’s now giving, the fact is Rousey’s perhaps only doing her job.

It’s highly unlikely that Ronda has indeed gone into business for herself. The current Raw Women’s champion is probably just going along with the story and that story will potentially lead to her exit from WWE later this year.

Rousey is set to defend her championship against Flair at WrestleMania 35. But if Becky Lynch beats Charlotte at Fastlane, then The Man will be added to the Mania match.

Can someone please remind Captain Badass here that her last two fights before coming to WWE ended with her unconscious and sobbing in the cage?

Four years ago, you were untouchable. Now? Not so much.

You’re a class act, @RondaRousey
