– While it was originally advertised that Jerry “The King” Lawler would work an Ohio Valley Wrestling show on July 20th, WWE is now promoting Johnny Nitro to appear in his place with Lawler being scheduled a week later with John Cena. This would make Lawler available for the Memphis Wrestling show on the 20th in Tunica, Mississippi which will probably result in him being served an assault warrant from his incident last month with manager Sal Corrente.

– WWE is opposing TNA’s registration of the “VKM” trademark. The company has until October 17th to make their claim of opposition.

– The following press release was issued by WWE yesterday: “For the seventh week in a row (May 21, 2007-July 8, 2007), Raw, SmackDown and ECW were the most watched programs on their respective networks among households and total viewers. (Source: Nielsen Media Research)”.
