CROKE PARK COULD follow in the footsteps of The Point and Landsdowne Road by having its naming rights sold.

The Irish Times reports the director general of the GAA Páraic Duffy has admitted the GAA would be open to selling the naming rights of Croke Park.

While he admitted it is “unlikely” he said they would certainly look at the option.

By selling the naming rights Croke Park could generate significant revenue for the associaton who are having ongoing funding issues. The Aviva deal at Landsdowne Road stadium brought in around €45 million.
