— According to a report by pwinsider.com, next month’s WWE Survivor Series will be tri-branded, meaning that it will be built around the theme that superstars from Raw, Smackdown and NXT will be competing against each other. The report adds that the “word going around backstage” is that the PPV may also features a War Games match, which if true, would be the first time that type of a match has been used on a WWE PPV (outside of NXT). It was cautioned that this was simply an idea pitched and that at this time, not confirmed. WWE has already promised a women’s War Games match for the NXT TakeOver before Survivor Series so along with the men’s match, this will mean there will be two of those at TakeOver.

UPDATE: WWE confirmed this report today during Crown Jewel, airing a commercial which basically said: “For the first time ever in head-to-head competition — Raw, SmackDown, NXT.” No other details were revealed.
