— Ric Flair will be at Saturday’s Magic Monikers 2 autograph show in Secaucus, New Jersey after all, reports Georgiann Makropoulos of Wrestlingfigs.com.

Elaine Gillespie, his booking agent, released a statement earlier today saying that Flair wasn’t going to be attending due to an unfulfilled obligation by the promoter. However, he has since agreed to fly in tomorrow morning after travel arrangements were made.

The exact problem between Flair & the promoter remains unclear, but one reported problem is that the promoters wanted him to sign autographed merchandise for those who had made requests through the mail. Gillespie said the deal was only to sign autographs for people appearing at show and signing more autographs would be set at a different price.

According to people close to the situation, Hulk Hogan, who will be at the show, talked to Flair and convinced him to come.

— CBSSports.com has an article on Bobby Lashley and he briefly talks about his decision to leave WWE in order to train for MMA. “I talked with the management of the WWE about my interest in fighting about a year before leaving,” Lashley told CBS Sports. “I had an injury and had to take some time off. So while I was rehabbing the injury I talked to them a little more and just came to the conclusion that if any time was a good time it was now. That’s when I decided to take the leave and started training.” He also talks about why he jumped into the world of wrestling in the first place. “Just speaking to some of the people from the WWE like Kurt Angle and some others, I felt like I would want to make that jump into the WWE and see more of the entertainment side of the sport,” Lashley said. “Even while going through the WWE there were always moments where I wanted to train and wanted to fight, so when the time was right I decided to start fighting.” {Ex-wrestler Lashley looks to make big splash in MMA}
