As noted, a special attraction match featuring AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura vs Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn is being advertised for the WWE Raw live event taking place on Friday, March 16th at Madison Square Garden.
The New Day is now being advertised to compete at the event, as the current match card is listing the Smackdown team for a Triple Threat WWE Raw Tag Team Title match against The Bar and Titus Worldwide.
As we noted yesterday, WWE has been discussing bringing Ronda Rousey in for the Madison Square Garden event, and if she does indeed appear, it will mark Rousey’s MSG debut.
WrestleMania Plans for The Bar
In somewhat related news, according to PWInsider.com, current WrestleMania 34 plans for The Bar call for them to defend the WWE Raw Tag Team Titles against “a team not currently a team” in WWE. While the meaning of that is vague, it points to Sheamus and Cesaro defending the titles against two singles wrestlers who will be paired up for WrestleMania 34.
Why Renee Young Missed WWE Raw
WWE announcer Renee Young noted that she missed WWE Raw this week, and will miss WWE Smackdown tonight, due to illness. Young did note she will be returning to WWE TV at WWE Fastlane this Sunday night.
