— TNA has announced a tournament will take place to fill the vacancy in the held-up TNA X-Division championship. The entire first round will be taped this week with the first two matches airing on this week’s iMPACT! and the next 2 matches taking place on the December 18th edition. The tournament finals will take place at the Genesis PPV next month in Charlotte, NC. The first round matches will feature:
– Eric Young vs. Sheik Abdul Bashir
– Alex Shelley vs. “Black Machismo” Jay Lethal
– Chris Sabin vs. “The Guru” Sonjay Dutt
– Consequences Creed vs. Akira Raijin (former AJPW star)
— The part of Governor Sarah Palin was played by former WCW star Daffney. She appeared in TNA earlier this year during one of Awesome Kong’s open challenges.
